Getting to Icod without a car
No rental car? No problem. Icod de los Vinos is well connected by TITSA buses ("guaguas").
From Tenerife North Airport (TFN)
The closest airport. Take the express bus 343 to the Puerto de la Cruz bus station (about 25 minutes), then change to line 354 to the Icod bus station (about 1 hour).
From Tenerife South Airport (TFS)
Bus 343 also runs from the south airport via the north airport to Puerto de la Cruz. From there, continue with line 354 to Icod. Count on around 2.5 to 3 hours in total, depending on connections.
From Puerto de la Cruz
Line 354 runs between the Puerto de la Cruz bus station and the Icod bus station roughly every hour on weekdays, and a little less often at weekends.
Tips
- Buy a rechargeable TITSA travel card ("Ten+") – it is cheaper than paying cash on board.
- Check current timetables on titsa.com before you travel; bus 343 runs only a few times a day.
- Taxis wait at both airports if you arrive late.
